THANK YOU!

We are now nearing the last of our series of 2024 concerts as Shades of Simon before we revert to pursuing our other individual musical interests over the winter months  But we’ll be back together as a band in March next year to again perform our updated show at some truly idyllic picnic locations and also some lovely new theatre style venues!

Thank you for your support, we really appreciate it – and if you join our mailing list we’ll keep you updated about the band and the availability of discounted early bird tickets to our shows!

Picnic Concerts

We’ve had a great run of picnic concerts in the grounds of stately homes this Summer. Our last one of the season will be next Sunday (18th Aug.) at the National Trust’s Scotney Castle in Kent. Tickets £17.50-£19.00

RIVERSIDE CONCERT

Back for the 2nd year at the National Trust’s Flatford Mill. An Idyllic location, perfect weather, and a fantastic audience! A very enjoyable evening…

(And we’ve been asked to come back again next year..!

Wimpole Hall

Last Friday we had a great time playing a picnic concert in the grounds of the National Trust’s Wimpole Hall in Cambridgeshire.  Although for a mid-Summer concert it was admittedly pretty chilly – but a lovely warm reception from the audience! The concert was sold out with a waiting list so we’re working on the possibility of another concert there next year…   Watch this space!

Rayleigh Rocks!

Had a great time performing our show at the Mill arts & events centre Rayleigh. A wonderfully appreciative audience in a lovely hall which thanks to the efforts of the local action group has been saved from demolition. And a special thanks to Eternity Events Essex for bringing the hall to life with a superb light show!

INTRODUCING ‘EARLY BIRD’ TICKETS

We’re delighted to be returning to perform our Paul Simon Story show at Flatford Mill again this Summer. Last Summer’s concert was sold out well in advance and we know many people were disappointed not to be able to get tickets. So for 2024 the date of the concert will be Sat.20th July, tickets will be £21.50, audience capacity is going to be increased from 200 to 300, and we are also going to introduce ‘early bird’ tickets – available now at £19.50 – so don’t delay…!

OUR QUIRKIEST GIG…

Certainly our quirkiest gig yet! A pop-up theatre with a stage, an audience and an ice cream van in a field in the middle of nowhere against the backdrop of some wonderful old railway arches. But again, a great evening!

RAIN DIDN’T STOP PLAY!

The Met Office got it wrong! It wasn’t supposed to rain, but it did! In fact it poured down, but nothing dampened the spirits of the wonderful audience who came to our sell-out Picnic Concert at the National Trust’s Flatford Mill last night!

Wrapped up in cagoules with blankets and umbrellas the resilient audience tapped feet, wiggled, danced and sang along, but above all kept smiling!
