We had a great time playing the Headgate Theatre on Friday! Truly it’s a little gem of a theatre, lovely acoustics, and a lovely appreciative audience. We really enjoyed ourselves…
And another full house!
Absolutely delighted to have again played another sell out concert! This time a picnic concert in the grounds of Ingatestone Hall. Beautiful setting, perfect weather, lovely audience, and loads of very positive feedback that everybody had a great time!
Band promo video
At last! We’ve managed to put together a promo video to give those who haven’t seen us live a taste of what we’re like! Do take a look – simply follow the link on the Home Page or click here.
Summer Picnic Concert
We’re really looking forward to playing our Summer Picnic Concert in the grounds of Ingatestone Hall on Sat.16th July. It’s a beautiful setting!
The number of tickets is limited to 160 to make it a nice intimate concert – so don’t delay! Tickets have just gone on sale and are expected to go quickly…
Charity Concert
We had a great time at our charity concert at Maldon Town Hall Theatre on Friday! This was the first time we had performed the full 2 hour theatre version of our show telling the story of Paul Simon’s career. Tickets sold out a month in advance and on the night we had a full house of just over 200 people whose standing ovation at the end confirmed they had clearly enjoyed the show! We are grateful to the Friern Manor Country Hotel and the London Vesta College for generously donating some superb raffle prizes. We organised the concert in memory of local singer-pianist-songwriter Dee Hepburn who died of a glioblastoma last autumn at the age of 42, and we are absolutely delighted that with your help we managed to raise £2,350 to help the work of the Brain Tumour Charity!
Pheonix FM
Colin and Paul were Michelle Ward’s guests on her ‘Eat My Brunch’ radio show on Pheonix FM local radio station earlier this week. It was great to have the opportunity to talk about the full Shades of Simon band and the forthcoming charity concert on 3rd Dec., their support for the Brain Tumour Charity, and of course, to play a couple of songs as a duo live on air…
