THE PAUL SIMON STORY
The UK’s no.1 Paul Simon tribute band “Shades of Simon” will be bringing their highly acclaimed 2 hour show “The Paul Simon Story” to the National Trust's Wimpole Hall for the 2nd year running in July 2025.
The show has an engaging narration telling the story of Paul Simon as one of the best songwriters of his generation, with the outstanding 5-piece band performing authentic renditions of the best of his songs from his time in Simon & Garfunkel in the 60’s (Homeward Bound, Sound of Silence, Bridge over troubled water etc.) through to his South African inspired Graceland tour in the 80’s (You can call me Al.)
The band are in high demand and performances have received rave reviews at venues ranging from the majestic Knebworth House, picnic concerts for the National Trust, to provincial theatres throughout the East of England.
The concert will be held within Wimpole Estate's parkland on a cut meadow known as 'Lime field'. Entry is via the Visitor Welcome building as usual.
People are invited to bring their own picnic food and drink plus garden chairs or rugs. There is no restriction on you bringing your own alcoholic drinks. You will also be able to buy drinks and snacks on-site.
Gates for the concert will open early at 5:30pm to allow those who wish to visit the Wimpole House and Estate during the day to stay on site and find their picnic spot for the evening concert. Info and prices for visits to the NT House and Estate are shown here
There is loads of parking on site - and it's free! Entrance is via the A603 and Old Wimpole Road. We recommend you follow the brown tourist signs rather than your SatNav!
Please do not bring dogs, an amplified concert is not a suitable environment for them, or for babies & young children. Any children must be closely supervised at all times.
The concert should finish around 9:30pm. It'll just be getting dark by then so we recommend you bring a torch!
This is an open air event and the concert will go ahead whatever the weather, so please come suitably prepared!
Gates open 5:30pm
Show starts 7:00pm finishing around 9:45pm.
