THE PAUL SIMON STORY

The UK's no.1 Paul Simon tribute band “Shades of Simon” will be presenting their highly acclaimed 2 hour theatre style show "The Paul Simon Story" in tribute to Paul Simon as one of the best songwriters and performers of his generation at the National Trust's Wimpole Hall in July 2024.

With an engaging narration, exceptional musicianship from the 5-piece band, and authentic renditions of the best of his songs from his time in Simon & Garfunkel in the 60's through to his Graceland tour in the 1980's, this is a show that appeals to all generations.

The performance will include early Simon & Garfunkel hits that have endured the test of time like Homeward Bound, The Sound of Silence, Mrs Robinson and Bridge Over Troubled Water, through to the infectious South African rhythms of Paul Simon’s Graceland tour and his biggest solo success, You Can Call Me Al.

The concert will be held within Wimpole Estate's parkland on a cut meadow known as 'Lime field'. Entry is via the Visitor Welcome building as usual.

It is suggested people bring their own picnic food and drink plus garden chairs or rugs. There is no restriction on you bringing your own alcoholic drinks. We're hoping to also have some concession stands or cafe - but this is yet to be confirmed.

Gates for the concert will open early at 5:30pm to allow those who wish to visit the Wimpole House and Estate during the day to stay on site and find their picnic spot for the evening concert. Info and prices for visits to the NT House and Estate are shown here

There is loads of parking on site - and it's free!

Please do not bring dogs, an amplified concert is not a suitable environment for them, or for babies & young children. Any children must be closely supervised at all times.

The concert should finish around 9:30pm. It'll just be getting dark by then so we recommend you bring a torch!

This is an open air event and the concert will go ahead whatever the weather, so please come suitably prepared!
