The band will be "Shades of Simon", a refreshingly new 5-piece band presenting their acclaimed 2 hour theatre style show in tribute to Paul Simon as one of the best songwriters and performers of his generation. With an engaging narration, exceptional musicianship and authentic renditions of the best of his songs from Simon & Garfunkel through to Graceland, this is a show that appeals to all generations...
The performance will include early Simon & Garfunkel hits that have endured the test of time like The Sound of Silence, Mrs Robinson and Bridge Over Troubled Water, followed by a selection from his early solo catalogue including the classic Still Crazy After All These Years, before ending with the infectious South African rhythms of Paul Simon’s Graceland tour in the 80’s and his biggest solo success,You Can Call Me Al.
The show will start at 7:30pm and be performed in the tree lined "sunken garden" against the backdrop of the house. Please bring your own picnic chairs or rugs, and picnic hamper with food and drinks. (You may bring your own alcoholic drinks.) This is an open air event and the concert will go ahead whatever the weather, so please come suitably prepared!
Sorry, no dogs are allowed in the garden areas (other than working assistance dogs).
Ample free parking and toilet facilities available.
The show should finish around 10:00pm.
