THE PAUL SIMON STORY

The popular folk-rock band ‘Shades of Simon’ are returning to the Electric Palace in August with their theatre style show ‘the Paul Simon Story’.

Performed in tribute to Paul Simon as one of best songwriters of his generation it blends an engaging narration with the best of his songs from his time in Simon & Garfunkel in the 60’s (Homeward Bound, Sound of Silence, Bridge over troubled water etc) through to his Graceland tour in the 1980’s (Still Crazy after all these years, You can call me Al).

The Electric Palace is a beautifully restored grade 2* listed Edwardian cinema and has been a much-loved landmark in the area for well over 100 years. By supporting films and concerts at the Electric Palace you will help fund the additional maintenance necessary to preserve this iconic venue for future generations.  

There will be a licensed bar for pre-show drinks and during the interval.  Parking is normally available in the streets nearby to the cinema. Wheelchair users are welcome; there is an access ramp at street level and reserved places near the front of the auditorium. Please let us know if you need assistance.

Doors open 7:00pm. Show starts 7:30pm through to approx 10:15pm with a 25 minute interval .
